General
Your card does not contain readable sensitive data - it only links to your vault. If you lose your card, you can immediately disconnect it from your account so it can no longer access your vault. Then generate a new card and link it to the same vault. Your vault private data cannot be unlocked without your passphrase.
No. It works from a web page. Scan the QR code on your card or enter your vault URL on any device with a web browser (internet required).

Yes. You can generate multiple cards that link to the same vault (e.g., wallet + keychain + travel bag).
Yes. You can disconnect a card from one vault and link it to a different vault at any time from your account dashboard. The card itself is just a secure link - it never stores your data.

You can choose to keep certain emergency info visible without unlocking (e.g., allergies, emergency contact). Everything else remains locked.
Security & Privacy
No. We store only encrypted vault data; we can't decrypt without your passphrase (zero-knowledge design). We can access basic account information like your email and plan details, but not your vault contents.
You control what's visible. You can choose to show a small set of emergency info publicly (e.g., name, allergies, emergency contact). Everything else stays locked and requires your passphrase to be decrypted.
Only the public fields you have chosen to make visible (e.g., name, allergies, emergency contact). All private fields remain encrypted and require your passphrase to decrypt. You can also disconnect the card immediately from your account to prevent any further access.
The vault cannot be decrypted without your passphrase.
The ID/URL alone does not grant access to your private contents.
With zero-knowledge encryption, we cannot reset it for you. If you lose your passphrase the vault contents cannot be recovered. You can however reset your private data and enter a new passphrase.
We never store your passphrase. If you lose your passphrase, we cannot recover your vault!
Some plans have access logs to track who scans your card. We do not track or store your decrypted vault contents.
